Jill Meehan has been performing music & song writing since she was a small child, 
and now performs regularly around the traps including doing occasional 
shows with her family band ‘Chandra’. Jill was booked at the Australia Day 
Geelong Waterfront Festival 2011 and also at the Barwon Heads Festival of 
the sea 2011, 2012, Vic Seniors Festival 2011, 2012,  Dunkeld Music 
Festival 2011, Lockington Heritage Museum Festival 2011, as well as other 
festivals including judging & performing in Man From Snowy River Festival 
Corryong 2013,  local gigs at Hotels and Café’s, and the Ocean Grove Summer 
Festival & does many other festivals and shows around Victoria! Jill has also 
been MC/Facilitator/Entertainer at many festivals around the state & regularly 
hosts & facilitates shows in the Bellarine region currently including Community 
shows such as ‘Open mic for youth’ and ‘Making waves music/poetry arvo’.

*Jill is also the Editor of the Geelong Folk Music Club magazine ‘The Bluey’ 
which has over 200 members in the Geelong region & Bellarine and also other 
regions in Victoria.

*Jill is also available for workshops in ‘Creative Song writing’ – 
‘Performance skills’‘Singing from the heart’‘Making the guitar work 
for you’!

*She keep audiences entertained with her unique guitar abilities and lilting 
vocals! Jill has won countless awards for song writing & performance, and is 
well known for performing great cover songs from the seventies and eighties, as 
well as her issue songs which really touch the heart. Jill’s styles include Hybrid 
Folk/Blues. Jill was booked and performed on the ‘Indian pacific’ train trip to 
Perth in July 2011 in a show with well known Australian Bush Poet Carol
